Keep your Miami pool crystal-clear
Simple habits that keep your water clean, safe and swim-ready all year β straight from our techs with 18+ years on Miami pools.
ποΈ Weekly habits
Test your water weekly
Keep chlorine at 1β3 ppm and pH at 7.2β7.8. Balanced water is safe, clear and protects your equipment from damage.
Run your pump 8β12 hrs/day
In Miami's heat, water needs to circulate. Running the pump enough each day prevents cloudy water and algae.
Brush walls & tile
A quick weekly brush of walls, steps and the waterline stops algae and scale before they take hold.
Empty the baskets
Clear the skimmer and pump baskets so water flows freely and your pump doesn't strain.
Watch the water level
Keep it about halfway up the skimmer. Too low can burn out your pump; too high hurts skimming.
Don't over-shock
Shock in the evening and follow the dose for your pool size. Too much can bleach finishes and irritate skin.
π΄ Miami-specific tips
After a storm or heavy rain
Rain throws off your chemistry and dumps debris. Skim, test and shock after big storms to avoid a green pool.
Summer eats chlorine
Strong Miami sun burns off chlorine fast. Check more often in summer and consider a stabilizer (cyanuric acid).
Salt pool? Check the cell
Inspect and clean the salt cell every few months so it keeps generating chlorine properly.
Trim nearby plants
Lush Miami landscaping is beautiful β but leaves and pollen in the pool mean more cleaning and more algae food.

The water turns green or cloudy
That's algae or a chemistry problem. Our Green-to-Clean brings it back β or you don't pay.
Equipment is noisy or leaking
Strange noises, leaks or rising water bills mean a pump, filter or plumbing issue. Get it checked early to avoid bigger repairs.
